How medical assistance translation specialist Lexxika helped World Travel Protection respond to customers faster, more accurately and more securely – whilst also reducing their translation spend.
The world’s only translation agency devoted to assistance companies, Lexxika Ltd, implemented ADFS in combination with their unique secure portal, as well as providing access to their global network of specialist linguists for World Travel Protection – a major player in the global travel assistance market – and the results have been significant.

The Background
In 2019, WTP began looking for a new supplier of translation services that would be faster, more economical and provide more data security to their customers.
They wanted to achieve gains in efficiency, costs and data security across the entire organisation whilst maintaining the highest possible levels of convenience and ease of use for their teams.
Although they were seeking maximum data security, WTP were keen to avoid a situation in which their personnel would have to go through multiple identification processes, frustrations with passwords, security procedures and wasted time – all of which would get in the way of providing urgent assistance services.
WTP have 24/7 global call centres and wanted fast access to a global range of languages. Lexxika was recommended to them as the assistance industry translation specialist. The two companies met and immediately struck-up a good relationship.
Lexxika’s solution was to provide access to its unique secure portal which would eradicate emailing of files, along with ADFS – giving staff single sign on (SSO) access which meant that personnel never needed a password.
Because security was top of the agenda for WTP they were reassured by Lexxika’s ISO 27001 accreditation.
Thanks to the implementation of ADFS, WTP manages an Active Directory (the list of people authorised to use their systems), have their own measures in place for identification purposes, use two-factor authentication, and personnel are assigned access to only the systems and services that are necessary for their role.
By integrating with their Active Directory, Lexxika’s portal is exclusively accessed by personnel who are authorised within their company, and they can have instant access, without the need for further security measures or passwords.
With a unique network of medical linguists all over the world, Lexxika was established to provide 24/7 specialist global translation support for assistance companies. This has meant that WTP can respond to customers more rapidly and with the reassurance of total translation accuracy.
The Results
The combination of Lexxika’s secure portal, specialist global support and AFDS has not only increased turnaround times and accuracy for WTP, it has also reduced their costs.
A generalist translation agency will charge a premium for faster 24/7 services, specialist documents and less common languages, but Lexxika is set-up to provide all these things as standard so there are no additional charges.
WTP now have complete peace of mind regarding access to Lexxika’s secure portal and their teams can support clients faster and more efficiently.
Best of all the two companies have a great working relationship, with IT personnel from both Lexxika and WTP working closely together to fulfil all requirements.
“Lexxika enabled us to continue to provide a leading service for our global clients. We now have the reassurance of knowing their documents are as secure as they can possibly be, we can provide them with 24/7 accurate support because of our unrivalled access to a global network of medical linguists and our staff can work quicker thanks to ADFS and the eradication of password frustrations. And it helps that they are such an enthusiastic, innovative team to work with!”
