In 2019, Lexxika was approached by Australian-based global travel assistance company World Travel Protection. They wanted to achieve gains in efficiency, costs and data security across the entire organisation whilst maintaining the highest possible levels of convenience and ease of use for their staff.
They wanted maximum data security but were keen to avoid a situation in which their personnel would have to go through multiple identification processes, frustrations with passwords, security procedures and wasted time – all of which would get in the way of providing urgent assistance services to travellers.
Lexxika’s solution was to provide access to its unique secure portal to eradicate all sending of files via email, along with ADFS, giving staff single sign on – meaning that they never need a password.
Thanks to the implementation of ADFS, World Travel Protection manages an Active Directory (the list of people who are authorised to use their systems) and have their own measures in place to ensure that users are identified, use two factor authentication and have been assigned access to only the systems and services that are necessary for their role.
By integrating with their Active Directory, Lexxika’s portal is exclusively accessed by personnel who are authorised within their company, and they can have instant access, without the need for further security measures or passwords.
The system has been a success for World Travel Protection. It has given them huge reassurance around the security of access to the portal and made the experience even faster and easier for their staff which means they can serve their customers better whilst knowing their data is as secure as possible.
